Our standards
DebtRelief.site publishes educational content about US consumer debt relief. Because money topics can seriously affect people’s lives, we hold ourselves to standards appropriate for high-stakes (“YMYL”) content:
Research from primary sources. Articles are built on authoritative, first-party sources: the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), the Federal Reserve, and official government publications. Forum posts and social media are treated as anecdotal, never as proof.
No invented facts. We never invent statistics, studies, prices, dates, ratings, quotes, or testimonials. Time-sensitive figures are date-stamped (for example, “as of Q2 2026”) and scheduled for periodic review.
No fabricated expertise. Content is published under the transparent DebtRelief.site Editorial Team byline. We do not invent authors, degrees, employers, credentials, or personal experiences.
Reviewed before publication. Every article is researched from primary sources and reviewed by our editorial team before publication.
No guaranteed outcomes. We describe options, costs, timelines, and trade-offs honestly. We never promise results, timelines for becoming debt-free, or specific savings.
No personalized advice. Articles explain general options; they never tell an individual reader what they should do.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email info@debtreliefs.site with the page URL and the exact sentence you believe is wrong. We review correction requests and, when a correction is warranted, we fix the article and note the correction where appropriate.
Review cadence
Time-sensitive articles (figures, fees, rates, program rules) are reviewed on a regular schedule and updated when the underlying facts change. Each updated article shows its review date.
